Manual Osteopathy

Manual osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on therapy that focuses on restoring balance and proper movement within the body. Rooted in osteopathic principles, this approach views the body as an interconnected system, where structure and function are closely related. When one area of the body is restricted or not moving well, it can create compensations, tension, and discomfort elsewhere.

Using a combination of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilization, and subtle manual therapies, treatment aims to release restrictions, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural ability to heal and self-regulate. Sessions often incorporate craniosacral therapy, which uses light touch to support the nervous system and release tension within the head, spine, and sacrum, as well as visceral techniques, which gently address the movement and function of the internal organs to support overall health and mobility.

Manual osteopathy is typically very gentle and relaxing, making it suitable for individuals of all ages and sensitivities.

Manual osteopathy may be helpful for:

  • Back and neck pain

  • Joint stiffness and restricted mobility

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Postural imbalances

  • Digestive concerns

  • Chronic pain and tension patterns

  • Stress-related symptoms

A key aspect of manual osteopathy is its holistic approach—rather than focusing only on the area of pain, treatment considers the body as a whole to identify and address the root cause of dysfunction.

Care is always individualized, with treatments tailored to your specific needs and comfort level. Whether you are dealing with a specific concern or looking to support overall balance and well-being, manual osteopathy offers a gentle and integrative approach to care.
