Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years. This form of traditional acupuncture involves the gentle insertion of very fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to help restore balance, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

From a traditional perspective, acupuncture works by regulating the flow of energy (Qi) through pathways in the body known as meridians. When this flow is disrupted, it can lead to pain, illness, or dysfunction. Acupuncture helps to restore harmony within the body, promoting both physical and emotional well-being.

Modern research also shows that acupuncture can stimulate the nervous system, reduce inflammation, improve blood flow, and trigger the release of natural pain-relieving and mood-regulating chemicals.

Acupuncture may be helpful for a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Pain (neck, back, shoulder, knee, arthritis)

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Stress, anxiety, and burnout

  • Digestive issues (bloating, IBS, reflux)

  • Hormonal imbalances and menstrual concerns

  • Fertility and pregnancy support

  • Sleep disturbances and insomnia

  • Recovery from illness or injury

Each treatment is tailored to the individual, addressing not just symptoms but the root cause of imbalance.
